About Us

Our History
With profound gratitude and fraternal joy, we celebrate Vilnius Arch Lodge No. 10, consecrated and dedicated to the glory of the Grand Architect of the Universe on April 21, 2018. On that memorable occasion, the ancient rites were observed, the Warrant of Constitution was received, and a new light was kindled in Lithuania—one that continues to burn with increasing brilliance. Situated in the storied and magnificent city of Vilnius, a place rich in history and the enduring spirit of its people, our Lodge stands as a vibrant home for all who seek the Light of Freemasonry. We exist to nurture and celebrate the timeless human longing for truth, beauty, and brotherhood. Duly constituted under the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Lithuania, we take pride in our solemn responsibility within this honourable fraternal family. The Grand Lodge provides a firm foundation, and we acknowledge with deep gratitude the guidance and shared purpose it affords us. Labouring under a regular Constitution demonstrates our fidelity to the ancient, time-honoured landmarks and the universal principles that unite Freemasons across all borders and generations. We are steadfast in upholding the traditions of regular Freemasonry, honouring the faithful Brethren of ages past who guarded the Craft. Our ritual work is conducted with profound reverence, recognizing our traditions not as mere relics, but as a living inheritance—a sacred trust to be preserved and faithfully transmitted to those who follow. While we stand firmly rooted in the rich soil of Masonic tradition, we are equally committed to fostering a modern and inclusive environment. Every Brother—regardless of his background, profession, nationality, or station in life—is received upon the level and made to feel he has found a true, lasting home. We embrace the remarkable diversity of today's world, valuing the universality of Freemasonry and its capacity to unite men of different cultures beneath the common canopy of brotherly love, relief, and truth. Ours is a Lodge that reveres the noble heritage of the Craft while looking forward to the bright promise of a fraternity that continues to grow and extend its benevolent influence. Though young in years compared to Lodges of more ancient foundation, we are rich in spirit, purpose, and dedication, facing the future with an unshakeable faith in the Masonic ideal. We offer sincere fraternal thanks to every Brother who has laboured within our walls since our consecration in 2018. To those who will yet cross our threshold seeking Light, we warmly say: the door is open, the Lodge is tyled, and a place is prepared for you. Vilnius Arch Lodge No. 10 continues to labour faithfully in the heart of Lithuania for the honour of the Craft and the glory of the Grand Architect of the Universe.
Our Values
It is with a full heart and an open hand that we extend this fraternal greeting to all who may read these words. Our Lodge is, and has ever been, a sacred sanctuary of reflection, learning, and brotherhood — a place where the rough ashlar of the human spirit is patiently and lovingly worked upon, that it may, in time, become a polished stone worthy of the Grand Architect's eternal Temple. Within these walls, adorned with the timeless emblems of our ancient and honourable Craft, every Brother is reminded that the true work of Masonry begins not upon the trestle board, but within the chambers of his own heart and conscience. We gather regularly, in harmony and good fellowship, to conduct the sacred ritual work entrusted to us by the generations of Brethren who have gone before — those faithful labourers who passed this noble inheritance into our keeping. Through the beauty and solemnity of our ceremonies, we are continually reminded of the great moral and philosophical truths that have illuminated the path of mankind since time immemorial. Each degree, each symbol, each word spoken in due form carries within it a lesson worthy of a lifetime of contemplation. Yet our Lodge is more than ceremony. It is a living school of wisdom, where Brethren of every station and walk of life come together to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and kindle in one another the flame of intellectual and moral inquiry. We believe, as our ancient landmarks teach us, that the pursuit of knowledge is a sacred duty — that to improve oneself is to honour the Creator who fashioned us, and to serve the Brethren who stand beside us. Above all, it is brotherhood that binds us — that warm and genuine fellowship which transcends the differences of the outer world and unites us upon the level. We support one another not merely in word, but in deed — in times of joy and in times of trial, in moments of triumph and in seasons of sorrow. A Brother is never truly alone, for the extended hand of the Craft reaches across every distance and every difficulty. And our obligations do not end at the Tyler's door. We carry the spirit of Masonry into the world beyond our Lodge room, ever mindful of our duty to our families, our neighbours, and our communities. Through charitable endeavour and civic service, we strive to be instruments of relief, compassion, and goodwill — to build, in the world at large, something of that harmony and order which we cultivate within our Lodge. For what is a Mason who does not labour for the good of his fellow man? The Craft calls us not to retreat from the world, but to illuminate it. We therefore extend to all — Brother and stranger alike — our most sincere and fraternal welcome. May the blessings of the Grand Architect of the Universe rest upon all who labour in the cause of truth, virtue, and brotherly love. Fraternally and sincerely tendered, In the bonds of Friendship, Morality, and Brotherly Love.
Our Community
It is a cherished principle of our Lodge that every Brother—whether an Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, or Master Mason—is received with respect, dignity, and genuine fraternal regard. This is not mere courtesy, but the very heartbeat of our Craft. We take pride in maintaining an atmosphere worthy of this noble institution. Our Lodge room is a moral and spiritual landscape where the sincere and humble are welcomed as honoured guests, and where every word and gesture is held to the high standards our ancient Craft demands. Every member is earnestly encouraged to grow, as that is the very purpose of our labour. Just as the operative Mason builds stone by stone, the speculative Mason builds his inner temple. We do not expect perfection at the threshold; we ask only for sincerity of purpose and steadiness of effort. Any Brother seeking the Light will find patient guides, willing teachers, and faithful companions for every step of his journey. We are also taught the noble, undervalued art of listening. In a loud and judgmental world, our Lodge stands as a sanctuary where a Brother can speak and know he will be heard. The voice of the least experienced receives the same respectful attention as the most seasoned, acknowledging that wisdom is often found in quiet, humble reflection. Furthermore, we fulfil our highest fraternal duty by leading by example. A true Mason deliberately embodies the virtues of Temperance, Fortitude, Prudence, and Justice in his daily life. We call upon every Brother to be a living testament to the transforming power of the Craft, rather than merely professing its virtues. Ultimately, our true strength lies not in numbers or antiquity, but in unity, trust, and a shared dedication to pursuing genuinely meaningful lives. Masonry places a profound question before every Brother: How shall I live? It challenges us to live with deep integrity, compassion, and fidelity to the Light. Lifelong wrestling with that question, alongside faithful Brethren, is the true and proud work of our Lodge. Thus do we labour—together, upon the level, toward the Light. Fraternally tendered, with sincerity and affection.
Joining Us
From time immemorial, it has been a fundamental and beautiful Masonic principle that the gates of our ancient fraternity stand open to every man of good character. We welcome not merely the wealthy, learned, or powerful, but any man who hears the call of the Craft and presents himself with a sincere heart, a willing spirit, and an earnest desire to seek what is true and enduring. The qualifications we seek in a candidate are beautifully simple, yet profoundly demanding. We ask not for titles, wealth, or worldly distinction. We ask, first and foremost, for good character—the irreplaceable foundation of a worthy Mason. A man of good character deals honestly with his fellow men, honours his obligations, governs his passions with reason, and strives to leave the world a little better than he found it. Furthermore, we ask that every candidate bring a sincere belief in a higher moral order—an acknowledgment that there exists a Supreme Being or Grand Architect whose wisdom conceived the universe. It is not our province to prescribe the precise form of a Brother's faith, as Freemasonry is a friend to all sincere religions. We ask only that a man recognise, with reverence, that the moral law he follows reflects a divine and eternal order. Upon this generous foundation, men of every tradition stand together as Brethren. Essentially so, every man seeking admission must possess a genuine, lasting commitment to self-improvement—the virtue that truly distinguishes a Mason. This lifelong labour is never perfected, which is precisely what makes it worthy of devotion. Acknowledging that one is not yet what one ought to be is the vital first step upon the Masonic path. Within our Lodge, every Brother is encouraged and supported in this journey by faithful Brethren who share in these aspirations. When a man is found worthy and passes through our solemn ceremonies, he enters a fellowship governed by an inspiring principle: within the Lodge, all meet as equals. Here, the square levels all distinctions. The man of great wealth and the man of modest means, the statesman and the labourer, all stand side by side with the same fraternal respect. No Brother is elevated by his profession or social position; the only distinctions recognise are Masonic ranks, which exist solely to guide and to serve. This principle is a necessary gift to a world too often divided by pride and the artificial barriers of class. When a Brother crosses the threshold of Vilnius Arch Lodge No. 10, he leaves behind the hierarchies of the outer world. He enters a space where he is valued for the sincerity of his heart and the integrity of his character. We proudly offer this fellowship, inviting every man of good character who is ready to seek the Light to enter our open doors, where he shall find himself among friends. Fraternally tendered, upon the Level and by the Square.
